IRAQ CENTRE FOR RESEARCH & STRATEGIC STUDIES – ICRSS are supporting the Training Model Primary Providers (TMPP) Project that's purpose to develop a professional training program for Iraqi health care providers. This project will assist the Iraq Ministry of Health (MOH) in developing/adapting curricula and implementing training for an essential cadre of physicians, nurses, center directors, and center teams that will provide primary health care, with a special focus on child care and integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI). By: Prof. Nahida Abdullkarim  In ancient Iraq woman has good position that she enjoyed with her rights in different fields, although education at that time limited for rich families but it did not prevent availability of educated women. With the spread of Islam,science and education was spread also and courage to get it did not divide between the genders.Decays of 1970s-1980s witnessed increasing of interest with education, but were reduced too much after 1990 up till 2003 because of economic sanction. After invasion Iraq in 2003 Iraqi woman faced a big difficult in education filed because of destruction resulting from the war, and also violence that followed, for all that families prevent girls and woman to go to school as well as university.

Iraq Centre for Research & Strategic Studies held the conference of Iraqi Academics for the period June 19-20, 2004.
Goals of the conference... The goal of the conference is to enhance and activate role of Iraqi academics in rebuilding Iraq according to the basis of justice and partnership between all Iraqi factions. This requires development of democratic dialogue, culture of tolerance and peaceful social coexistence as well as respecting the opinion of one another and establishing the civil society organization and their contributions in enhancing democratic transformations in new Iraq and assuming their full role in enlightening the politicians to solve social problems by removing the reasons of these problems.
